The US Navy has said it wo n’t be releasing any more videos of UFO sightings due to “ national security ” business concern . While the US has made steps to become moretransparenttowards unidentified aery phenomena ( UAP ) sighting , it looks like they ’ve still stick some secrets to hold on to .
Back in 2020 , the US Department of Defensedeclassified and releasedthree videos of UAP sighting film by the US Navy that had previously been leak to the media .
This prompted the government transparency site the Black Vault to file away a Freedom of Information Act ( FOIA ) request asking them to free all of their telecasting that show a UAP sighting .
Now , it appears the US Navy is not playing ball . After almost two years of waiting , the Black Vaulthas had its FOIA request deny . Although their response does connote they have flummox other UAP videos , the US Navy maintains that material is " classified " and it ’s not willing to publicly release them , citing it as a national security risk .
" The requested videos contain sensitive selective information pertaining toUnidentified Aerial Phenomena(UAP ) and are classified and are exempt from revelation , " Gregory Cason , deputy director of the Navy ’s FOIA agency , wrote in a response letter . " The passing of this entropy will harm national security system … No portions of the telecasting can be segregated for sacking . "
The rejection letter also indicates that the three UAP videos from 2020 were only release because they were already public knowledge after being reported by the medium .
“ While three UAP videos were released in the past , the fact specific to those three video are singular in that those videos were initially free via unofficial channel before official button , ” Cason save . “ Those issue were discussed extensively in the public domain ; in fact , major news outlets conducted specials on these effect . sacrifice the amount of information in the public domain regarding these coming upon , it was possible to put out the files without further equipment casualty to national security . ”
The Black Vault says it is already filed an entreaty against the decision .
Attitudes may be changing on the control surface , but information around UAPs is still tightly ascertain . The UFO report was ultimately inconclusive and the public hearingdidn’t reveal a whole lotof raw grounds , with one politician describing it as a “ full joke . ”
