AReddituser is detailing their experience receiving a “creepy” package from an unknown sender.
Sharing a set of photographs of the box that the heart was sent in, the user wrote, “I received this in the mail a few days after Valentines [sic] Day. It was addressed to me with no return address. The lid was sealed shut, and although I probably shouldn’t have, I pried it open with a butter knife (hope I’m not cursed lol).”
“Wooden box with an anatomically correct wooden heart inside. You can buy similar things on Etsy and other online stores,” they continued.
The Redditor then asked: “Do I have an admirer with really poor taste or is this something more sinister,” before adding that they were “definitely buggin out over this.”

Others, meanwhile, told the original poster that a specific type of individual had likely sent them the fake heart piece.
“You’ve got a goth admirer,” said one user, as another wrote, “Some goth out there loves the Cure and you.”
Added one other: “As a goth I can confirm that’s some stuff a goth would give to their partner or crush (if they are goth too and many are into this kinda stuff).”
