Kim Kardashianis gearing up to tell the story of Hollywood legendElizabeth Taylor.

Ina press releaseon Monday, BBC Arts announced that it commissioned a three-part docuseries about Taylor from the production company Passion Pictures.

Per the release, Kardashian, 43, will executive produce the series, which is tentatively titledElizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar,alongside Kari Lia and Hamish Fergusson.

“Elizabeth Taylor was unapologetically herself, a fighter,” Kardashian said of the Oscar-winning actress in a statement. “She is proof that you can keep evolving and changing and have different chapters in your life - and she paved the way for all of us who came after her with that blueprint.”

The series “will feature privileged access to those who knew her best, including members of Elizabeth Taylor’s family, friends, and colleagues from throughout her stellar career,” the announcement said.

Kardashian is featured in the series because she was the person who conducted the last interview Taylor did before shedied of congestive heart failureat the age of 79 on March 23, 2011.

Taylor appeared in her first movie, the comedyThere’s One Born Every Minutein 1942 at the age of 9. Throughout her decades-long career, she was nominated for an Academy Award in the best actress category five times and won the honor twice — in 1961 for her performance in the dramaBUtterfield 8and again in 1967 for her work inWho’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

But Taylor’s personal life was also tabloid fodder throughout her career. She was married eight times throughout her life to seven different men, andstruggled with addiction.

In its statement about the upcoming series, BBC arts promised thatElizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstarwill give the actress “the significance she richly deserves, in all her incarnations: as an actor, rebel, business mogul, and activist – to reveal how Taylor created the blueprint for modern celebrity.”

“A unique talent and true luminary, we’re hugely excited to explore her extraordinary life and enduring legacy,” said Fergusson.
