Jana Duggar and her siblings gifted parentsJim Bob and Michelle Duggarwith the ultimate surprise: a new master bedroom!
While Jim Bob and Michelle were away, Jana, 29, and her brothers and sisters were hard at work in the family’s Arkansas home, gutting and renovating the master bedroom and adjoining bathroom as a gift for their parents.
“We surprised my parents while they were away and remodeled their room for them,” Jana captioned a post shared to Instagram of the completed space. “This is the reveal and them seeing it for the first time!”
“Sometimes you have to find ways to give back to those that have given so much to you!” wrote theCounting Onstar. “We love and appreciate you so much Mom & Dad! 😊❤️.”

During the reveal, Jim Bob and Michelle were beaming ear-to-ear as Jana guided them through all of the changes.
“Oh wow! I can’t believe it,” said Jim Bob. “I can’t believe it, mama. This is like paradise!”
“That is stunning!” said Michelle as she surveyed the bathroom remodel. “This is too beautiful to be true.”

While filming, Joy-Anna (Duggar) Forsythtold her parents, “Jana actually said that, mama, you worked so hard and you’ve never had an elegant room that feels like a queen’s palace and we wanted to do that for you.”
But Jana wasn’t alone in the redesign — her brothers and sisters also worked tirelessly to update and transform the space.
“This is what we’ve been working on the past week and a half — we surprised my parents while they were away and redid their room!” Jana captioned another Instagram post, which featured before-and-after photos. “So grateful to all the family and friends who pitched in to make this happen!”

She also gave a sweet shout-out to her brothers, some of whom handcrafted the cabinets and built the window bench, among other renovations.
“My brothers are the BEST! They built the cabinets from scratch and worked so diligently on everything else!” she wrote, and added about sister-in-law Anna Duggar, “Anna is amazing she made the window seat cushion! Couldn’t have done this project without each and every person!”
Alongside Jana, the Duggar sisters enjoy partaking in and watching the redesign process of a renovation (including Jessa (Duggar) Seewald’s son Spurgeon, who is a Fixer Upper fan!).
“Here’s a tour of our little house! We have a few projects left, lots of organizing to do and it’ll be finished!” Joy-Anna captioned the video, which was captured on her cell phone. “Austin has done such an amazing job!”
“Okay y’all, so here is a tour of our house. I’ll go in the front door here,” she began as she led fans inside her home, which has an open floor plan in the kitchen, living and dining areas.

The mom-to-be also guided viewers down the hall, where she gave them an inside glimpse of the nursery, master bedroom, master bathroom, guest bedroom and guest bathroom.
More than a year later, at the end of last month, Joy-Anna and her husband Austin Forsyth celebrated their son Gideon’s first birthday.
“Happy 1st Birthday, Gideon Martyn!! We are so thankful for you and your bright smile that is contagious!!!” they captioned a series of photos from the celebration. “Mommy and Daddy love you so much!! #1stbirthday #smashcake #somuchlove.”
