Rupert “ Ripper ” Giles is a mainstay of Buffy the Vampire Slayer — even when he went off to Britain to rag horses , he was still a vital part of Buffy ’s messed - up reality .
So how does player Anthony Stewart Head palpate about what happened to the amazing character he helped to create ? We asked him .

“ It sucks , does n’t it , ” Head says about the destruction of Rupert Giles in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer comics . But he contribute :
But Giles kind of had to go , you know . And I kind of empathise . It was a bit of a blow when I try . Somebody say , ‘ Ooh , ooh ! Giles ! Did you hear ? ’ ‘ What ? ’ ‘ He ’s dead . ’ ‘ Oh . That soak up . ’
But at least Head add together that he ’s get word there are “ interesting estimation afoot ” for the Buffyverse . These may not necessarily include bringing back Giles — but “ they ’re interesting plans , as only something in the Whedonverse could maybe be . ”
When asked whether he ’ll ever bet Giles again , Head just gives us a sympathize with look . At the same time , he says “ Never say never ” — specially when it comes to the works of Joss Whedon .
Meanwhile , Head also say that he ’s live on to be doing a form of “ Madness of King George ” riff in his part as Uther Pendragon in the upcoming fourth time of year of Merlin , which sound like fun . And he restate what he said when he moderated the panel on NBC ’s fresh magical cop show Grimm — he ’d fuck to appear on Grimm , especially since the producers have foretell to kill him off in some gruesomely interesting style .
