I ’m one of the more cynicalSmallvilleviewers around , but dammit if this does n’t face promising . I ’m not going to say more than that ; I ’ve been burned before many , many times by the show ( and Michael Shanks does look kind of punch-drunk in his Hawkman get - up ) , but I did enjoy last season ’s Legion of Super - Heroes appearance , written by the same guy behind next month’sSmallville : Absolute Justice(DC writer Geoff Johns ) , so … we ’ll see , I guess ?
