The best kind pappa culture art is n’t obvious . It ’s insidious , blink its heart , and take a certain amount of knowledge to understand . “Product Placement,”the latest art showing atGallery 1988 in Los Angeles , is all that and then some .
“ Product Placement ” is an artistic production show consist of fake ads for products in movies and television set – hooey like thenight vision gogglesfrom Jurassic Park , go through above . Also symbolise : Star Wars , Dune , Big , Willy Wonka , The Last Starfighter , Evil Dead , Batman , and so many more , in pieces that are n’t forthwith identifiable as reference to those movie . You ’d have to know the movie to know these posters , and that ’s what make them so great . Here ’s just a small sampling from the show .
