DC Comics ’ New 52 has fetch slew of change to its superpowered fictional character , but the publisher ’s insurance policy has been not to change the intimate orientations of any subsist characters . That ’s about to change , however , as DC cobalt - publishing firm Dan DiDio announces plan to re-introduce an established theatrical role as gay .
Last year , DiDio say The Advocatethat DC ’s plans were to introduce raw merry fictional character rather than vary the orientation of established characters . However , when asked about that policy at this weekend ’s Kapow ! convention in London , DiDio said that plans had changed , and that a previously established DC fictitious character would be introduced in the New 52 universe of discourse as gay . DiDio severalise the audience that the character would become “ one of our most prominent gay characters . ”
The question is : who will it be ? It sound like the persona will be one who has n’t yet appeared in the New 52 ( so that image above credibly wo n’t pan out ) . Will anyone ’s slashfic dream pan off out ? And will the newly homosexual character be a hero or a villain ?
