NASA ’s Messenger probe is currently orb close around the Sun in preparation for its mission to Mercury . While make its lonely cranial orbit , Messenger snapped this astonishing photo that shows all the planets ( plus our Moon ) in one big family pic .
Up top you could see the left half of the photo , which includes Venus , Earth and the Moon , Jupiter , and Uranus and Neptune . Those last two planets are too faint to be actually visible in the photograph , but we know that ’s where they are right now . Below , you may see the right half of the photo , which let in Mars , Mercury , and Saturn . It ’s the first time we ’ve ever snap a photo of all eight planets ( sorry Pluto ) from the Sun ’s vantage head , although Voyager 1 gotthe reverse of this picture from the border of the solar systemback in 1990 .
From this form of length , the planets do n’t look like much more than detail of light – a necessary craft - off to get all eight satellite in one prototype . CheckNASA ’s original storyfor the full double of all eight major planet together .
