POLIS is one of those shortsighted films that ’s a wonderfully intriguing proof - of - concept , but pull up stakes us want more . In this VFX- and action - filled short circuit , a telepath is held prisoner in a government deftness while technician jab his brain in lookup of his female parent . And fortunately , it ’s on its way to becoming a feature article plastic film .
POLIS was written by Daniel Perea and directed by Steven Ilous , with a VFX team led by Maxx Burman . POLIS won the Defy Media and New Regency Prototype competition , meaning thatthe filmmaker are getting the opportunity to prepare their short as a lineament film . Our protagonist is living in a supposedly utopian beau monde , but his female parent knows something of the world ’s dark secret . That ’s why the government is out to chance her , hoping they can use the young telepath ’s brain to point the way .
